Get to know: You!

A couple things before we get to it today:

Did I ever tell you that one of my best friends, Suzzette, started her own blog? You should go check her out! Today she gave dozens of great tips for living and shopping on a budget. Advice we all could all use, I tell ya!

Tomorrow I’m getting a big, scary, uncomfortable, important test done as a result of the surgery back in November. It’s kind of a big deal and something that I’ve dreading for about a month now. I can’t believe the day is already here and I would be lying if I said that I wasn’t having a panic attack/freak out/sweaty palms, hyperventilating moment every time I think about it. I’m sure I’ll fill you in on the details when I get the results, emotionally cope with the news (whether it’s good or bad), and am ready. For now though, I’d love for you to send some positive vibes this way, because, boy, I could use them right now.

So, we sat down a couple months ago and interviewed Alex together. Then we got to know me a little better a few days later. Now, it’s your turn!

One of the highlights of this blog is when I run into people that I haven’t talked to for ageeees and they spill the beans that they’ve been following our journey on this ol’ site o’ mine. I’m not kidding you – I get this all.the.stinkin’.time. Yet, it’s the same 20 or so people (thank you, I love you all 🙂 ) that pop up in the comments section every few days. The rest of you… are completely silent! What’s with that? I know a couple hundred of you pop in to read every post, why not stop in and say hello?

Seriously, I tell you pretty much everything… Yeah. It’s true. You know what makes me sad, what I need to work on to be a better spouse (that’s personal, my friends!), what I eat for lunch, what projects we’re working on at home, and a million other things! So, now — I wanna know you! What makes you happy… What is the most irritating part of your day… What makes you… well, you!

Here are some questions that I’d love for you to share with me. Don’t feel like you have to answer them all, but any snippet into your life would be wonderful!

Where do you reside? (Can be as general as you like… Maryland, the US, New York City… whatever)

What was your favorite memory from childhood?

If you could live anywhere, where would it be?

What are some of your hobbies?

How long have you been popping in at Lifewithacrazypup? Since the beginning? Or did you recently stumble upon us?

What kind of posts would you like to see more of? Puppy pictures? Random recipes? House projects?

Do you read other blogs too? What are some of your favorites?

What’s your dream vacation?

Are you married/dating/single?

Do you have pets??

What kind of toothpaste do you use? Crest? Colgate?

Favorite stores to shop at?

And anything else that you’d love to share!!

Commenting is easy and takes… basically zero time. You will need to enter an email address, but I promise that won’t be published (shhh.. you don’t even have to put in a real one if you don’t want).. It’s just a way that I could reach out to you and say howdy, or answer any questions that you may have had.

SO ANSWER AWAY!!

(and don’t forget the vibes and prayers too! THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!)

  1. Hey! That’s me!! I think since we are besties and all you pretty much know everything about me. Except maybe perhaps the type of toothpaste I use.. I am actually starting to use baking soda! A dentist recommended it to me to help prevent cavaties, cheap alternative to regular toothpaste, and a much better-for-you whitener. Bet you didn’t know that. 🙂 Dream vacation?? I think I would honestly love to travel the globe for a little while. There are so many place that I would love to see – the lions of Africa, the history and rich culture of Europe, and the reefs of Australia. I am positive that you didn’t know all of that either since I don’t think I have actually ever said it before.

Maybe do some yoga tonight, drink some wine, talk to the Mister, and try to relax tonight. I know it is nerve wracking to think about the possibilities, but it is out of your control. And, you will be able to conquer anything that is thrown your way with Alex by your side. I can’t wait to hear the positive news!

    • Hmmm baking soda, huh? Nope — I didn’t know that! Does it make your mouth feel just as clean? Those vacations sound AMAZING. Let’s book one now?

Thanks for the tips for tonight. Hopefully I’m stressing more than I need to (like I do with EVERYTHING) and it ends up not being a big deal. Here’s hoping, right?

  2. .
I just discovered your blog a couple of weeks ago and have enjoyed it very much. I have been married for 33 years, live in Illinois and have two 7 month old golden retriever puppies who are loveable stinkers 🙂
I will definitely keep you in my prayers.
    Take care

    • TWO 7 month old GOLDENS! Oh my, the husband is going to be so jealous when I tell him. I bet having two at the same time is incredible when you’re watching them play, but man, that must be a ton of work. WELCOME though, can’t wait to see more of you in the future 🙂

  5. I just found your blog today after reading Young House Love trying to discover where they purchased the maps throughout their home. Your comment stood out because you mentioned you “slightly” like maps.

My wife and I live in Maryland
No animals because we are both allergic, but I do love dogs.
I love to run and help my wife decorate our new home. I let her make most of the decisions because she has better taste.
Dream vacation would be traveling to Europe and Russia.
Favorite stores would be Crate&Barrel, Pottery Barn, etc..

    Looking forward to future post.
