All Tied Up

Hello my dear stranger blog readers.

How was your Thanksgiving?

While you were busy making and eating food, did you stop to actually think about things you are thankful for?

Some things I’m thankful for:

  • The health of my family, my friends, and of course — little ol’ me.
  • The fact that I never have to wonder where my next meal will be coming from.
  • A wonderful fiancé.
  • A loving mother and brothers.
  • A fantastic new family who will soon be my in-laws.
  • A hilarious and cuddly pup.
  • That I was able to find a job shortly after graduation.
  • And of course — my amazing friends!

Home News

Our settlement date has been moved up. As of now, we’re going to settlement on January 7th. The previous homeowners are moving to Florida and have requested that they rent from us until the 20th. It looks as though we’ll be all moved in by the end of January. Can you believe it??? I can’t wait for everything to be set so I can show you all photos of our almost new home (knock on wood!!).

Holiday Updates

If you are unaware — Alex and I have an intense, burning love for Christmas. It’s probably more me.. but Alex is a good sport and plays along anyways. He was able convince me to hold off putting our Christmas tree up until Thanksgiving day morning. Our apartment is completely decked out in holiday gear. Every time I walk in I cannot help but to smile (and giggle).

Here’s our Christmas tree (thanks iPhone!!)

YAYAYAYAY!!!

And our doggie….

Sleepy!

This is my new phone background 🙂 A big thanks to the wonderful Christmas Wallpaper Ap!

Love this little guy

Apologies

I’ve been really MIA lately. I would like to say that it’s all due to me being busy. Honestly though, I’ve just been lazy! I’ve had so much stuff to do that when I get a free second — I just don’t feel like blogging. I’m sorry! I’ll try to be better 🙂

Other News!

Tonight the man and I are going to see Michael Bublé in DC! I’m super pumped up! I worked an early shift today so I could get outta here around 4 to get home and then get to DC. Hopefully we’ll have time to grab a bite to eat (and maybe a beer??) before the show!

Since I knew we’d get home super late tonight I decided to use a vacation day tomorrow. Thankfully I did! Tomorrow we’ll be spending the day at the new home with a bunch of home/mold/chimney/radon/everything else — inspectors. Hopefully everything will be in good shape and we won’t have to go back to the drawing board with the contract. Wish us luck!!

Do you have any new home owners advice for us??
