I have this laptop. My mom purchased it for me during my senior year of high school to take to college with me. It’s ginormous. It has a 19 inch screen and weighs approximately 57 pounds. It definitely doesn’t compare to the small, sleek, 2 1/2 ounce netbook that Alex bought. It’s so heavy that if you see me trying to pick it up off the ground, you better be screaming, “lift with your legs! You’re going to hurt your back again.”
For some reason this laptop is very prone to viruses. Last year around Christmas my handy dandy laptop flipped me the bird and turned it’s big ‘o self off. Luckily Alex’s parents were in town and my almost father-in-law wiped my computer clean. Right before my very eyes I saw my beloved computer go from a viral machine-o-death to brand-spanking new!
Just weeks after the streamers were thrown away from my “welcome back to earth party” that I threw to honor my laptop, it decided to take a dump again. After much deliberation, I decided to throw in the towel and begin to harbor my love for the 2 1/2 ounce netbook mentioned above.
Fast forward 9 months and you’ll find me today — curled up in a blanket wishing it wasn’t 40 something degrees outside. Rather than studying like I should be, my genius brain decided it would be a good idea to fire up the prehistoric dinosaur. Thirty five minutes after I braved the power button, I found that, miraculously, the virus is gone. Who knew that the way to rid your computer of unwanted pests was to turn it off and shove it in a closet for a year?
Anyways — I decided to do a little poking around and found some amazing pictures. I wish I was introduced to blogs long before I was! I found so many precious pictures of Hunter’s awkward teenage months that I would have loved to share with you all. SOOO without anymore farting around — here they are!
And here, ladies and gents, is a video that I took via small, dinky digital camera (don’t judge the quality) of Hunter playing in his first snow!
Have a great Saturday!
